Do You Provide Packing or Storage Services?

Yes we offer full service packing and unpacking services. As well we offer long term and short term storage.

Do You Use Subcontractors?

For some of our long distance moves we will use independent contractors or third party transportation to help transport your items. Anyone that we use has been vetted by us and is a licensed and insured households good mover. We only use professionals.

What size trucks do you have?

Our fleet of vehicles range in size. We offer Mercedes Sprinter vans, 26ft moving trucks and anything in between. All the way up to 53ft tractor trailers.

Can weather affect my Move?

Weather can affect traffic and cause other delays but in most cases your move will go on as scheduled. The only time we would consider rescheduling a move is during extreme weather and the state or county puts out a weather /travel warning.

Can Zippboxx move me “out of state”?

Yes, Zippboxx can help you move to any state in the country. Are most frequent trips are down the east coast from NY- Florida and everything in between.

Why hire A licensed moving company?

Hiring a licensed moving company is important because you know they are regulated by the state of NY. All licensed moving companies must go through a probation period and assure that their operations meet the requirements of the state.

Is Zippboxx A Licensed Moving and Storage Company?

Pricing

Are There Additional Fees?

There are never any hidden fees.There are charges for different levels of service, material, etc but this will always be laid out in your estimate and explained to you.

How much do movers get tipped?

On a local move it's common for the movers to be tipped up to 5-8% to be split among the team. On long Distance 10-20% is very common.

When will I get charged for my move?

On the day of the move you will be charged, once the move is complete.

Do moving companies require a deposit?

Yes we only ask for a $100 deposit when booking your move. This deposit is to save the day and time you request and will come off the balance of your total move cost. Your deposit will be refundable up to 48 hrs prior to the move.

What types of payments do you accept?

Zippboxx accepts cash, and all major credit cards.please know that there is a 3% convenience fee added to all credit card purchases. We do not charge the convenience fee when leaving a $100 deposit.

How much do moving companies cost?

Price will depend on the inventory of items being moved, and the distance of your move. Other variables that may affect your moving cost include obstacles such as elevators, stairs, parking, etc. Based on this information our highly trained sales consultants will be able to give you an estimated cost of your move.

Do you offer discounts for students or Active-Duty Military?

How Do You Handle Complaints and Claims?

Although we strive for absolute perfection sometimes mistakes happen. When they do, claims and complaints are all handled on a case by case basis. If you need to speak with a customer service representative or file a claim you can call 631-677-1251 or email info@zippboxx.com.

Do You Offer Insurance?

We do not sell insurance but we do offer full replacement value of your items. Please talk to your move consultant for more details.

What if a mover damages my furniture?

How will Movers On Duty Protect My Furniture?

Our commercial and residential movers are very meticulous to secure and protect all of your furniture and belongings with blankets and/or plastic-wrap for safe transportation.

What do I need to protect my furniture when moving?

You don’t need to do anything. We handle protecting all the furniture. Included with every move your items are blanket wrapped, and or shrink wrapped. For an additional cost All glass, mirrors, TVs, Lamps, Paintings. Pictures will be packed and protected appropriately.

Are my items insured when I move?

Yes, your items are covered for a minimum of .30 per lb per article on Local moves. Long distance moves items are covered for .60 per lb per article. We do have options for additional coverage. Make sure to ask your move consultant about your options to be fully covered.

Do movers disassemble beds?

Yes disassembly and reassembly is included with every move.

How far in advance should you schedule your move?

Zippboxx recommends scheduling a move at least 3 weeks in advance and with long distance moving, at least 4 weeks, especially in the busy season.
